Sofia University Public Programs presents...  Join us for the first ever school-wide dance to kick off the 2013 V-Day season at Sofia! One Billion Rising is a worldwide movement with the goal to gather one billion people across the globe on Valentine’s Day in dance to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to ending violence against women and girls. A top DJ will spin music to get us on our feet and moving. All are welcome! Fee: Sliding donation fee of $5 - $20 All donations for the event will go to the following organizations: Impact Bay Area: Impact Bay Area’s mission is to reduce violence and promote healing by teaching self-defense, personal safety, violence prevention, and empowerment to adults, young adults, teens, and kids. www.impactbayarea.org The Art of Yoga Project: The Art of Yoga Project is on a mission to lead teenage girls in the California juvenile justice system toward accountability to self, others and community by providing practical tools to affect behavioral change. http://theartofyogaproject.org Pre-Register for the event on this page (see above).
